ABOUT INVESTIGATIONS
The principals and staff of A-D Engineering Group Ltd. possess expert knowledge and experience in many fields of structural analysis and design, including steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete, masonry, sawn and glulam timber and structural fabrics.
As a result, we are frequently called upon to investigate, and provide opinions on, failures or behavioral problems which have occurred due to design or construction errors, or deterioration of existing structures. In this area our services include: analyses; reports; expert opinions; appearance as expert witnesses for arbitrations, litigations and coroner’s inquests; arbitration services; and design of remedial work.
Typical for the type of project for which these services have been provided are failures of bridges, foundations, roofs, parking garages, masonry walls and precast wall panels both during construction and while in service; collapse of formwork and falsework; structural damage resulting in fire, corrosion or collisions; storage tank and silo failures; communication tower failures; and technical audits of existing or planned structures to assess structural integrity.
