For the staff of A~D Engineering Group Ltd.; each case in building restoration is treated as unique, although we can draw on over thiry years experience for those features which have similar applications developed from numerous projects in the past. We approach each challenge conscientiously with an open mind and let the physical evidence speak for itself.

Among the materials we are familiar with, when solving restoration problems, are:

  1. wood (damage due to shrinkage, structural overload abrasion, ultraviolet effects, chemical absorbtion, chewing by animals, fungi (rot), bacteria, insects, etc.),
  2. stonework (damage due to ice lensing, chemical and pollution attack, salts absorbed/crystalization from alternate wetting and drying, bedding problems, debonding of units, weathering of mortar, improper coatings, etc.),
  3. ceramics (bricks, terracotta, mortars),
  4. cementitious materials (mortars, concrete, plaster, grout),
  5. metals (iron and steel, copper, bronzes, aluminum, etc.),
  6. paints and coatings, and
  7. foundations and footings
